About
Sonya Kaleel (she/her) has always been drawn to the question: How do we work better together in a complex, ever-changing world?
As the founder and president of The Inclusion Practice, she helps organizations foster cultures of collaboration, inclusion, and belonging. With over 25 years of experience in leadership development, organizational learning, and intercultural effectiveness, Sonya understands the importance of cultural awareness and adaptability in today’s organizations. Her approach blends participatory facilitation, liberatory frameworks, and practical tools—like the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) and CliftonStrengths®—to empower leaders and teams to build deeper connections, unlock potential, and lead with courage and care.
Whether guiding organizations through culture change, coaching leaders and teams to navigate complexity or facilitating courageous conversations, Sonya creates spaces where people can stretch their thinking and engage in the work of building more inclusive, collaborative spaces. She is adjunct faculty for Northwestern University’s Leading Equity & Inclusion master program, a coach for the Executive Leadership for Organizational Change program, and a contributing author to Social Justice in Organizational Change. Sonya holds an M.S. in Learning & Organizational Change from Northwestern.
