About
Rev. Lisa Talbott serves as the Assistant to the Bishop of the Greater Northwest Area of The United Methodist Church for Equity and Intercultural Competency. As such, she works with congregations, boards, agencies, and other groups to transform institutional culture. As a pastor, Lisa's focus was connecting the church and the community, and she was the first spiritual wellness advocate on the community health coalition. Lisa has also worked as a hospital chaplain, walking with patients and families through difficult times. In her first career, Lisa was a middle and high school English, Language Arts teacher, specializing in curriculum development, classroom management, and authentic assessment. Lisa's introduction to the IDI was inspirational and transformational, both personally and professionally. In her personal time, Lisa hangs out with her Newfoundland puppies, parrot, and husband, or weaves at her loom at the business she co-owns, Kindred Spirits Weaving Studio.
