About
Rev. Brett Pinder recently certified as an IDI Qualified Administrator. Brett is an ordained elder in the Oregon-Idaho Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church.
Originally from Maryland, Brett has lived in Oregon for just over five years. Throughout his career, Brett has worked as a university chaplain, community organizer, pastor, program developer, and leadership and anti-racism coach.
Brett has used the IDI as a tool, both for self-discovery, personal growth, and for ministry as a queer clergy person. He especially appreciates the developmental tasks described in each developmental stage for the way they help our growth and help us think about meeting people where they are.
In his free time, Brett enjoys walks with his dog Teddy, news podcasts, kayaking, home renovation projects and exploring new dining spots around Portland.
Brett is excited to help individuals, organizations, churches, and church institutions in their intercultural development journey.
