David (pronounced dah-beed) H. Garcia grew up in the agricultural fields of Eastern Washington. David is a product of many generous people who dedicated time and energy to develop and nurture him to understand the beauty and power of humanity. He is actively committed to this work in attempt to fulfill the promise to his late abuelita, Altagracia. David is an organizer, convener, administrator, trainer, teacher, and consultant with 19 years of experience working collaboratively across sectors to reduce inequities and increase belonging. David is committed to working towards repairing historical wrongdoings along with restoring autonomy based on pride, territoriality, and self-determination. He currently serves as the Associate Dean for Community, Health Equity, and Belonging and Clinical Faculty at the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine.
